Miss Debbie is a musician and educator, who happens to be deeply curious about learning and teaching in general, but particularly as it applies to the acquisition of musical skills; which is why teaching piano and music has been a sweet spot since 1988.
As a 1993 honors graduate from the University of Mount Union she has continued her studies to include Orff Schulwerk levels 1-2, a Master’s in Music Education with a Kodaly emphasis from Capital University and second Master’s degree in Educational Psychology specializing in the gifted and talented education receiving admission to Golden Key and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies from Ball State University.
In the Summer of 2012, Miss Debbie compiled a music and art program called Mozart & Monet. The program saw hundreds of children, smiles, and creative artwork through the inspiration of live music.
In her spare time Miss Debbie enjoys cooking, learning, reading, art, walking, nature, birding, and riding her hot pink bicycle. Most of all, Miss Debbie enjoys using her creative mind to find novel solutions for challenges that arise either in life or in her teaching career.
Miss Debbie has been a Kindermusik educator since 1995 and a piano educator since 1988. She creates a warm, inviting and engaging atmosphere for your little one to develop, not only into a musician but a life-long learner. Miss Debbie offers Kindermusik classes, private piano lessons and preschool music classes to inspire young musicians, one joyful moment at a time.
